This is the entry point into our hockey program and a great place for kids to get started. At the Termite level, the focus is on building fundamental skills such as skating, puck control, and shooting, in a fun and engaging environment. Practices follow age-appropriate plans developed through USA Hockey and the American Development Model, and players are placed on teams coached by dedicated parent volunteers who help create a positive and encouraging environment.

There is no travel at the Termite level.

For players born between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2021.

Note - Children who turn 5 years old between June 1 and December 31, 2026 are also eligible to register for Termite Hockey. Please note that players who register under this option will spend three seasons at the Termite level.

Termite hockey begins on October 20th with our optional Preseason Skills Sessions and goes through early March. Ice time is typically scheduled twice per week on Tuesdays and Saturdays and also includes some Open Hockey sessions on Sundays when there is ice availability.

Tuesdays: 5:10 pm - 6:10 pm

Saturdays: Vary depending on ice availability

$175.00 - City of EGF residents 
$215.00 - Participants living outside of EGF city limits, attending school in EGF, and live within Polk County**

All players are required to register with USA Hockey to be eligible to participate and be placed on a roster in our Youth Hockey Program. Below, you will find USA Hockey Registration information. This must be completed PRIOR to completing the EGF Youth Hockey Registration.

Players should bring their own skates, gear, and water bottles clearly marked with their name.
