River Heights Park is one of East Grand Forks' most peaceful and scenic parks, offering visitors a quiet retreat surrounded by mature trees and natural beauty. Covering approximately 22 acres, the park is located at River Road and 12th Street NW on the city's north side and serves as an important access point to the Greater Grand Forks Greenway.

River Heights Playground
River Heights Park includes a neighborhood playground, located at
1122 8th Ave NW
where children can climb, slide, and play while families enjoy the surrounding picnic areas.
Picnic Shelters
River Heights Park provides two reservable shelters.
The shelters are generally available from May through September and can only be rented through the Red River State Recreation Area.

Reserve a Shelter at River Heights Park
River Heights shelters are reserved only through the Red River State Recreation Area on a first come, first served basis. All shelters and alcohol permits are free of charge in East Grand Forks.
Rental Availability
- Daily from May 1st through September 30th
- Parks open daily: 10 a.m. to Dusk
- No advanced reservations made until February 1st of the current year.
