CAMP NAME

Mites (8U) / Girls 8U

2026-2027 Season

This level is designed to continue building fundamental skills while introducing players to basic team play. Teams are generally organized by age, with some flexibility depending on overall registration numbers.

A Girls 8U team will be offered if numbers allow and volunteer coaches are available. When possible, this group will practice and play cross-ice games alongside Grand Forks 8U teams, with ice time shared between East Grand Forks and Grand Forks arenas.

Players will take part in a mix of in-house and local cross-ice games, and may also have the opportunity to join area jamborees. Practices follow guidelines from USA Hockey and the American Development Model, and teams are typically led by dedicated parent volunteers. Travel at the Mite/Girls 8U level is minimal, keeping the focus on development, fun, and a positive first team experience.

Dates and Location

Mite and 8U hockey begins on October 5th and goes through early March. Ice time is scheduled for 3-4 times per week on Mondays or Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and also includes Open Hockey sessions.
