The East Grand Forks Non-Competitive Synchro Team, in partnership with the Northern Lights Figure Skating Club, is a non-competitive introductory synchronized skating program designed for skaters who are interested in learning the fundamentals of team skating. Participants develop teamwork, precision, and skating skills while performing in community exhibitions and gaining experience in synchronized skating before advancing to competitive teams.

Team placement and eligibility are determined by the synchronized skating coaches based on the best interests of both the individual skater and the team.

Skaters participating on competitive Northern Lights Figure Skating Club teams are required to participate in club fundraising opportunities. Non-Competitive Team families are encouraged to support club events and activities throughout the season.

Non-Competitive Synchro will begin October 12 at the Blue Line Club Arena until construction is completed at the VFW Memorial Arena.

All Non-Competitive synchronized skating participants must be registered with both the Northern Lights Figure Skating Club (NLFSC) and Learn to Skate USA. Registration for both memberships can be completed through the NLFSC membership website.

Please ensure that both registrations are completed prior to participating in synchronized skating activities to maintain eligibility and provide the appropriate club and Learn to Skate USA membership coverage.

Non-Competitive Synchro is recommended for skaters 5 years of age and older who have completed Basic 3 Learn to Skate. Skaters below Basic 2 are not eligible to participate.

Skaters who do not meet the recommended requirements may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by coaching staff.

Programs offered through the EGF Parks & Recreation Department are setup for citizens within the EGF city limits. Those wishing to participate that live within Polk County but outside of the city limits MUST complete the Non-resident Participation Form prior to registering.
