A Family History
Built in 1963, Stauss Park is one of East Grand Forks' oldest athletic facilities and has long served as the community's home for baseball and outdoor recreation. The park is named in honor of Albert Stauss, whose leadership was instrumental in acquiring the land, developing the baseball complex, and securing lighting for the original field.
Over the decades, the park has hosted generations of youth, Legion, high school, and amateur baseball players while also serving as a neighborhood gathering place for football, outdoor skating, and community recreation. Today, Stauss Park remains one of the most recognizable baseball facilities in East Grand Forks and continues to play a central role in the city's athletic tradition.
