2026-2027 Season
The Squirt / Girls 10U playing level is a continuation of player skill development and the beginning of travel hockey. The primary focus continues to be skill development in skating, passing, puck handling, shooting, and play while developing team concepts.
All players will play both half-ice in-house games and travel games. Teams at this level will play other district and area teams and tournaments.
Age Limits
For players born between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2017.
Dates and Location
Squirt and 10U hockey begins on October 5th with our optional Preseason Skills Sessions and goes through February 28th. Ice time is scheduled for 4-6 times per week and also includes Open Hockey sessions.
Tournaments are held at various times and locations after January 9th.

Registration
Registration for the 2026-2027 season opens Monday, August 10th and closes Wednesday, September 9th. Register by September 3th to avoid a $50 late fee.
EGF Residents and Non-Residents
Programs offered through the EGF Parks & Recreation Department are setup for citizens within the EGF city limits. Those wishing to participate that live within Polk County but outside of the city limits MUST complete the Non-resident Participation Form prior to registering.
Evaluations
At the Squirt level, "A" and "B" level teams will be determined through a player evaluation process.
At the 10U level if we have enough players for two teams the teams will be "A" and "B" level teams formed by the coaching staff, focused on assigning each player to the team level that will allow the player to continue developing individual and team skills.
Coming Prepared
Players should bring their own skates, gear, and water bottles clearly marked with their name.
