ABOUT 12U SOFTBALL
At this level, players continue strengthening their core softball skills, throwing, catching, hitting, fielding, and base running, while being introduced to pitching with proper mechanics and hitting against live pitching. Athletes begin learning more advanced team concepts and positional strategies, helping them build a deeper understanding of the fastpitch game. The focus is on preparing players for the next level while keeping the experience competitive, supportive, and fun. The 12U level is the beginning of fastpitch play. Players will pitch to and face live pitchers in games.

INTERESTED IN MORE SOFTBALL?
We are looking to form a "travel" team(s) from registered players to play once a week on Wednesday evenings from June 3rd - July 1st (tentatively), with a single-day year-end tournament in July. This would be in addition to their "in-house" practices and games on Monday-Thursday mornings. Evening games would be two, 70-minute doubleheaders starting at 5:00pm each week. The team would play in the Red River Valley League, which includes communities such as Larimore, Mayport, McVille, Northwood, and Thompson. Parents would be responsible for providing transportation to and from out-of-town games. There would be no cost to participate on this "travel" team. The registration form will have a question asking if players would be interested in participating on this team. Please check yes or no to indicate your interest. Players are not required to participate on the "travel" team, so we do ask that any players who want to participate intend to attend all games. It is simply an opportunity that we are exploring to provide players with additional game experience at a minimal cost.
