Termites

For Players born between 6/1/2017 - 5/31/2019
**Children turning 5 years old between June 1st and December 31, 2024, are allowed to register for Termite Hockey. In doing so, they will play 3 years at this level.

This is the entry level into the hockey program. The goals of the Termite level are to learn and develop basic hockey skills - skating, puck control, passing, shooting and to have FUN. Practice plans are based upon and developed through USA Hockey and the American Development Model. The Termite group is divided into teams and are coached by parent volunteers.

Start Date -Late October

Season - Late October through early March
Ice Time - 2 scheduled times per week (Tuesday and Saturday) plus Open Hockey sessions
Days/Time - Tuesday 5:15pm-6:15pm or 6:15pm-7:15pm Blue Line Arena. Saturday times and arena vary depending upon ice availability.

Fees: $150.00 local registration fee plus applicable USA Hockey Registration fee. Residents of Polk County residing outside of the EGF city limits who attend school in East Grand Forks pay an additional $40.00 per activity registration.

2024 - 2025 Youth Hockey

Welcome to the 2024-2025 Hockey Registration!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. The Participation Policy for those residing outside of the EGF city limits remains in place. Also, please be sure to use current emails as we use this site for communicating with parents/guardians. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover account information available. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from City of East Grand Forks. The registration session will be open from Thursday, August 22nd and run through Wednesday, September 11th. After September 11th, $50 late fees will be applied to all activity registrations. The last day to complete registration for the 2024-2025 Winter programs will be Wednesday, September 25th.

The East Grand Forks Youth Hockey Program is setup for residents of the city of East Grand Forks and those living outside of the EGF city limits but within Polk County who attend school in East Grand Forks.

Because our recreation programs are subsidized through residents' property taxes, all participants living outside of the EGF City Limits are charged a $40 additional fee per activity. The registration question that asks if you are a Resident within the city limits is answered on the honor system. If found to have answered incorrectly, you will be charged the additional $40 per activity fee plus a $35 administrative fee.

Pre-season clinic registration

2024 Parks & Recreation Pre-Season Clinic

The Pre-Season Hockey Clinics are setup to give players an opportunity to get onto the ice and into hockey shape prior to the season starting and potential evaluation / tryout period. The clinics at the Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Girls 8U, 10U & 12U levels will be a combination of PEP & station-based skill development drills, power skating, small area games, 3 on 3 and cross-ice games.

The clinics will be six sessions (7 hours) of ice time for all Squirt, 10U, Pee Wee, 12U and Bantam players. Mite, 8U and Termite clinics will be 6 hours of ice time.

Starting date for the 2024 Clinic is Saturday, October 11th. Players must be registered to attend the Pre-Season Clinic. Schedules will be posted on this website and emailed to participants.

The Pre-Season Clinic is for East Grand Forks Skaters only.
