The East Grand Forks Parks and Recreation Department offers both a Youth Hockey Program and a Girls Hockey Program.  We have levels of play setup for children ages 5 to 15 years old.  Please browse the specific age level pages for information.  All registration for youth hockey will be done on this website.  There are "Registration Tabs" on each page. Before you can register for East Grand Forks Youth Hockey you must register through USA Hockey.  Once the USA Hockey registration is completed you can proceed with local registration.  Instructions and a registration link are below for USA Hockey.   Our Hockey Program is for residents of the City of East Grand Forks and those living in Polk County but outside of the EGF city limits who attend school in East Grand Forks.

The registration session for 2025-2026 Winter Programs will be open from Monday, August 18th and run through Wednesday, September 10th. After September 10th, $50 late fees will be applied to all activity registrations. The last day to complete registration for the 2025-2026 Winter programs will be Wednesday, September 24th.

ALL players and coaches must register online with USA Hockey and pay the appropriate fees - fees vary depending on age for the 2025-2026 season.  Once this is complete you can complete local registration. You can follow instructions listed or click on USA Hockey tab to the right.

1. Logon to www.usahockey.com.
2. Click on the Membership tab and then click Register online.
3. Select Ice Players and Coaches.
4. Follow instructions and complete.  Note - when filling out player's legal name make sure it is as it appears on the birth certificate.  Example if a player goes by Jim, but birth certificate reads James, the registration must say James.
5. Please make sure all information is correct before checking out.
6. Registration must be completed for all players and coaches.  Participants will also pay any applicable Affiliate fee. The Affiliate fees for payers in Minnesota are as follows: $10 fee for players born in 2006 to 2018; No fee for players born in 2019 and after; $1 fee for players born in 2005 and before.
7. Enter payment information and complete.
8. Print and/or write down the USA Confirmation number.  You will need this to complete the local registration.
9. USA Hockey has a No Refund Policy.

Please either fill out the volunteer coaching application that is included as a part of the player registration or the online application found here: East Grand Forks Hockey 2025 - 2026 Coaching Application (Page 1 of 3). Filling out an application does not guarantee that a coach will be selected.

Volunteer Coaches that are selected will have their USA Hockey Registration and Training Fees reimbursed by the City of East Grand Forks, along with a discounted player registration.
